Lead Equity Principal Maileen Hamto is grateful for the opportunity to work on project engagements as the lead consultant or sub-contractor on a variety of projects with a number of clients. Deliverables range from survey design, data analysis, and report production to curriculum development and workshop facilitation on diversity, equity, and inclusion topics.
Health Equity Transformation Initiative
Developed and implemented an organizational assessment for a national health equity transformation initiative for a national payer seeking to enhance services to people enrolled in Medicaid. Facilitated listening sessions across different states, analyzed data, and developed an implementation plan for centering health equity in decision-makin
Climate Survey Data Analysis and Report
Conducted stakeholder interviews and analyzed the results of a company-wide diversity climate survey, stakeholder interviews, and group listening sessions.The activities yielded a 32% participation rate, or more than 1,300 employees, about 4,200. The analysis resulted in actionable equity-focused recommendations for improving processes and policies.
Equity and Inclusion Considerations for AI
Offered education and best practices about integrating a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens in project-based training approaches for artificial intelligence and machine learning models. Evaluated onboarding and model training steps to embed an equity lens in processes involved in RLHF (reinforcement learning for human feedback).
Instructional Design for Online Course
Served as a Subject Matter Expert on diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices for an online course. Involved in content development and in-depth course review from a user experience perspective. The online course is available on Canvas, Thinkific,
and Absorb learning management platforms.
Research and Report Production
Served as the primary researcher and writer for the Washington Technology Industry Association "DEI Insights Report" (published September 2023). The report shared insights into sentiments by leaders of tech companies that resolved to address racism in everyday business operations.
Diversity Education for Government Employees
Led virtual and in-person diversity, equity, and inclusion workshops for government agency leaders and staff. The training received rave reviews from participants. In a post-workshop survey, over 55% of respondents indicated the workshop helped them acquire skills relevant to their job.
